Mount Valley Foundation Services (MVFS) is the oldest foundation repair company in South Carolina. Mount Valley Foundation Services was founded by Allan Gantt with the hope of bringing this necessary service to the area. In 2017, MVFS partnered with Groundworks, the nation’s leading and fastest growing foundation repair and water management solutions company and now serves under the Groundworks name. Mount Valley Foundation Services is a BBB accredited business with over 100 fully trained experts to assist the homeowner with any foundation repair, crawl space, or concrete needs.

Trey was my inspector/sales person, he was very knowledgeable about my home’s crawl space issues. He answered all questions and concerns. Mary Beth and her crew were also amazing. They came out to clean my home’s crawl space, installed my dehumidifier and encapsulation. Everyone was very punctual, answered all questions. I really appreciate the professionalism. I would highly recommend them.

I have no complaints about the technicians sent to my house. There were several, as they kept sending people who were too big to fit under my house, but they were all nice and professional. Eventually, the Service Manager showed up with a team and things moved a little faster. However, ultimately it took six months to get any actual work completed. They just finished up the last piece of the project Jan 2, 2026, which was late, but it was the primary thing I wanted and needed done – it was the warranty work – adjusting the jacks. It wasn’t completed by the date they originally said it would be, but it was eventually done and it did help. I also asked for a crawl space encapsulation. I didn’t get an encapsulation, I got a vapor barrier. It was included in the $28K worth of other recommended work, that I paid for. At this point I don’t know if it was worth it, but I sure hope it was. For me, that’s a lot of money! Anyway, two of their project foremen said the sump pump they installed was in the wrong place or there should be an additional one installed at the back corner of my house where the water (groundwater seepage) is actually occurring at. The Production Manager did call me back and agreed to re-evaluate in three months and said if the current setup with the installed French drains and sump pump at the front of the house isn’t getting that groundwater seepage out, he’ll have a crew install a second sump pump in that other location for free. Again, no complaints about the crews or quality of the work. Just questioning the accuracy and timeliness. It took so long that one of my walls finally cracked and that could have been avoided. Great work by Derrick, James, Jerome. Also Jarrod and Will – and their crews.

Mount Valley Foundation Services just encapsulated under our home, and based upon my experience, I would definitely recommend them. The three young men who have been here for the past two days to install the system were exceptional!!! They explained everything to me in detail. They answered my questions politely and thoroughly throughout the process. They worked so cohesively as a team!!! They thoroughly cleaned the area when they were finished. I highly recommend them!!!!

They were punctual, they were polite, they were courteous, professional and knowledge. From the initial inspection by Landon, through the foundation repait by Brantley, Pat, Julian and Bobby, through the pier and beam installation by Matt and Tyron, to include the cost saving change, and finally the concrete leveling by Carnell and Desmond all work was done completely, professionally and timely with a constant flow of information on the process. Great work, timely arrival, superb coordination, and hard work is the entire team's standard at Mount Valley Foundation.

Super professional and very transparent through the whole process. My project manager David kept me in the loop as the project progress and our floors are now noticeably more stable. It's nice to know that our foundation is no longer crumbling right beneath us!
