John Willis with the Mount Valley Foundation Charleston area office is amazing! I had made an appointment because the brick step leading up to my front porch had separated from the foundation leaving about a 2" gap. I had a brick masonry contractor out a few days prior and gave me a high quote to repair the step. John arrived this afternoon and was able to pull back the entire brick step (4' wide and very heavy) and discovered a big root growing under the step which had caused the step to separate from the foundation. He chopped up the root and cleared the entire area under the step. He was then able to move the step back into position so it's now level. Unbelievable! I couldn't believe what he had just done. He did all that in about 15 minutes and saved me $2k. Truly a rock star! I couldn't be happier and highly recommend John and Mount Valley Foundation.

The consultation and the work performed was amazing.Cory Hawkins, Oscar Mota, and Brandon Waters explained the entire process and kept me updated throughout the 3 day job. The only reason for a 4 star is due to the scheduling process, as it was horrific to say the least. Permitting not completed and job scheduled and then job rescheduled more few times. Outside of that, the team was very professional and did a great job cleaning up.

We discovered that we had an issue with our sump pump. The pump was not removing the water from underneath our house. Mark Duncan came out and spent several hours cleaning out the pump and running fresh water through the system. Now the pump works great! He also cleaned up any mud and dirt that he tracked in underneath the house. I was very impressed with the finished job.

I needed to have my foundation repaired and called several companies for estimates. Their rep showed up on time, was respectful, knowledgeable and took the time to actually HEAR us. There were other companies that were cheaper, but you do get what you pay for. The work started on schedule and finished on schedule as well. They continue to come out and check the job annually (at a very small fee of about an $150) since they guarantee their work for the life of the house. I happily recommend them to anyone who needs that kind of work done.

Today I had a free estimate done with Daniel from Mount Valley. I am writing this review solely because he left a great impression of the company! He was honest with what I did and did not need done, he was patient and kind with my dog (important), and he did not try to intimidate me as many salesmen for whatever reason have tried to do. Not to mention, he was courteous of my time and performed efficiently. They are a pricier service and I have not seen final results, hence the four-stars, however I would indeed recommend Mount Valley for professional services.

Dan Rubenstein was very professional, courteous, helpful and arrived ahead of the appointment time. He did a complete and thorough inspection of our home 360 degree outside, a very detailed inspection of the problems we had inside and went under our house to look at the foundation. He showed us videos of his work, completed a plan of the house with dimensions and gave us an estimate on the spot. Thanks for the great service.
